Dr. Greshun De Bouse | Originator of Boots on the Ground Line Dance Movement and Boots on the Ground Movement of Today © 2022
Celebrated annually August 3, National Fanclack Day™ was founded by Dr. Greshun De Bouse in 2022 to raise awareness of fanclack safety and responsible fanclacking of handheld fans in performance, while preserving the rhythmic art of fanclack execution. Continuing the associative spirit of National Boots on the Ground Day™(May 27), and the Boots on the Ground Line Dance Movement™-both also pioneered by Dr. Greshun De Bouse in 2022, National Fanclack Day™ promotes historical preservation of the first Black rodeo in the U.S., unity in and via cowboy and western culture, line dance traditions with boot symbolism and handheld flatfan usage.
National Fanclack Day™ is one of the three holidays within Dr. De Bouse’s Boots on the Ground Ecosystem™(est. 2022) celebrated on August 3 along with National Handheld Fan Day™ and National Where Them Fans At Day™-Dr. De Bouse created the Fanclack Structural Protocol™(FSP™), consisting of the 'Where Them Fans At'™ vocal cue (the first line of the second verse of her Boots on the Ground Louisiana Lean © 2022), followed by the fanclack choreographic sequence.
